Knowledge of the Trait: A possibly ancient form of magic, Legilimency is the act of penetrating the mind of another and having the capability to see someones thoughts, feelings and memories. At high levels, Legilimency can be performed nonverbally and wandlessly, and is generally countered via Occlumency.

Why do you want this trait? Shay is deeply fascinated with the mind as a whole, and this does not exclude the minds of others. Having the capability to understand other people on that level - possibly without their awareness - would unlock a new branch of knowledge and advantage for her as a person, a vital asset in her goal to master the mind and all of it's concepts.
How will you be using this trait? She would initially have little skill with the ability, requiring much of her focus. She would also have to use the incantation "Legilimens" while pointing her wand at the target. Over time throughout her years at Hogwarts she would eventually have grown in capability, eventually being able to see specific parts of peoples minds with little required effort, and potentially no longer find a wand or incantation necessary.
